Jessica Kirkwood works as a freelance journalist and documentary photographer in Vancouver, Canada. Her work has been published in the Peace Arch News, the South Delta Leader and one.cool.word Magazine, amongst others. She spent her college years in Los Angeles, California, where she took Photography, Fine Art and Creative Writing courses. She is now pursuing a degree in Journalism.
She joined suite101 in April 2011. She has a wide variety of interests including, but not limited to: journalism, press freedom, politics, international relations, human rights, queer issues, mental illness, education, business development, the arts, astrology, eastern European history, culture and language, travel, eco-living and folk music.
